New Equipment

CRI recently added a new SMT line consisting of a Mycronic MY300 LX-15 and a DEK NeoHorizon 03iX. The new equipment provides CRI with improved capabilities to address current and future customer needs for accurate SMT assembly.

The Mycronic MY300 LX-15 provides improvements in set-ups and changeovers, the ability to handle short tape strips and non-standard carriers, and electrical verification of resistors, capacitors, diodes, and transistors. Mycronic’s unique intelligent feeders and magazines are designed for reliability, accuracy, and ease of use. The MY300 provides CRI with increased flexibility for batch size of one to full volume production, with improved quality and traceability.

“The Mycronic MY300-LX has provided us with tremendous flexibility to handle cut-tape and mini-trays for customers who provide CFM material. The ability to handle a variety of material in different media forms has allowed us to shorten setup times and labor for our customers, while ensuring a high level of placement accuracy and component verification.”

DEK NeoHorizon 03iX from ASMPT is designed for high-volume production or small lot sizes. The NeoHorizon provides high-precision printing, fast operation, and the accuracy and repeatability required for super-fine components and apertures. CRI’s purchase of additional options (Grid-Lok and HawkEye verification) ensures accurate and repeatable board support and 2D paste verification.
